About us

The Great Britain, a country known as the “Cradle of Missions” has blessed the Body of Christ with resources and man power since the last several centuries. Christian Missionaries were sent across the world from this nation which paved the way for the settlement of the multi-ethnic communities in this nation. The Church of God World Missions saw the desperate need for the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the various multi-cultural groups, and the opportunities to plant churches in London and other areas of the UK. The Church of God UK Cross Cultural Ministries has its roots in the initial church pioneering/planting efforts by an Indian missionary who was sent to London in 1983 by the World Missions of the Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee, U.S.A. Later in 1985, Rev Joe Kurian & Family were appointed by the World Missions to continue the work of reaching the Asian Indian communities in London and United Kingdom with the Gospel of Christ and to plant churches. The motto of the UKCCM is “Building Bridges & Breaking Barriers”. The multi-cultural field and diversities of the population in United Kingdom requires a global approach to evangelism and church planting. While the message of the Gospel remains original and authentic, we seek to implement culturally relevant and Biblically sound methods and practices to achieve the goals of extending the Kingdom of God and incorporating multi-cultural congregations, thus integrating the people of God into a global family of God.
